Summer Recap!

Hi Everyone!

First of all, we hope all of you are staying safe and your families are healthy! Though we haven’t been able to meet in person, we have still been able to do plenty of robotics things :)

  1. We are so excited to announce our captains for the 2020-2021 season, SOFIA SIMON-TRENCH and NINA FISCHER!!!!!! They are going to do an amazing job, and we can’t wait for a new season.

  2. We participated in Robots to the Rescue!! We paired up with one of our sister teams, Cosmos, and we split into two teams to CAD robots for Coronavirus using OnShape. We ended up making one robot that would scan temperatures at doorways, and another that would drive around delivering masks and gloves; so fun, and we loved designing robots to help the world!

  3. Team Bonding! If you hadn’t figured it out by now, team bonding is a HUGE deal for us. Whenever there is a lull, we plan a new event! Thus, it comes at no surprise that despite a global pandemic and quarantine, we managed to have a team bonding event. We went to Sofia’s house, set up a socially-distance picnic, and then walked to a boba shop! Super fun, and we got to see Sofia’s tomato farm :)

  4. We were also super excited to have a Zoom call with a robotics team from Fulton! It was great being able to mentor other teams, and just to see other robotics people in general! We look forward to more Zoom sessions!

  5. Finally, we participated in the Wolf Corp Showcase, where we talked about Winning First Place Inspire and being Winning Alliance First Pick. It was great being able to talk about what we know and answer the Q&A! We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did :)

Thanks so much for staying with us, and we can’t wait to have more fun, robotics-related updates! Until then, stay safe!

Hey everyone, It was great to see you all at Regionals this past weekend in Monrovia! We had such a good time meeting the other teams and catching up with the teams from our league. We learned so much

Yoohoo! First of all, HAPPY SUMMER!! There are not enough exclamation points in the world to express how great it is to have three whole months of no school. However, we still have robotics to do! We
